Ramsay Lampman Rhodes is an established Vancouver Island law firm with a diverse client base across several practice areas. When the firm decided to scale up its marketing initiatives, it retained Skunkworks to develop a new brand identity and marketing campaign to firmly position the firm as the "go-to" choice on the island.
Skunkworks began by developing a new corporate identity for the firm that would serve as a foundation piece for everything to follow. The new logo helped to put a more contemporary stamp on the firm by incorporating an icon - a stylized tri-colour bar in a wave design with the firm's initials embedded inside. Use of icons is still relatively rare in the Canadian legal marketplace, and as one partner put it, "it makes us look more like our clients." Skunkworks also developed a new slogan: "Legal Excellence. Island Values." that succinctly communicates the firm's commitment to quality legal service as well as its deep roots in the local community it serves.
From there, Skunkworks went on to develop a new website, yellow pages campaign, transit advertising, and a series of sports and culture-themed ads and signage to support the firm's many sponsorships of local sports teams and cultural events. The unified brand has resulted in a significantly enhanced profile in the local market, and continued growth for the firm.
