Robbie Sheffman recently contacted Skunkworks to help him launch his new solo immigration law practice in Victoria, BC. Starting with his logo we opted for a modern colour scheme and visual cues reminiscent of international visa documents. From there we designed a clean, straightforward website that would be user friendly for English speakers and ESL clients alike. The result is www.immigrationlawbc.com.
This new logo and stationery package for Vancouver's Harris & Brun law firm is the next step in a bigger project encompassing Robert Brun's blog and a whole new company website coming live later this month.
2010 marks the British Columbia Court of Appeal's 100th anniversary. Skunkworks is honoured to have been selected to create a new logo, website and conference collateral in conjunction with the Court's 100th anniversary. The new BCCA100.ca website includes a photo gallery drawn from the Court's archives including portraits of every Chief Justice of British Columbia, the original ground-breaking of the old courthouse building (now the Vancouver Art Gallery), and significant historical events such as Lord Denning's visit for the opening of the current Vancouver Courts in 1979, and the first all-woman panel of the Court of Appeal.
Plans for the 2010 centennial include a one-hour documentary "Though the Heavens Fall: 100 Years of the BC Court of Appeal", a book by author Christopher Moore, and a judicial and academic conference in April 2010 featuring professor and legal futurist Richard Susskind and keynote speaker Chief Justice Beverley McLachlin P.C.

Anticipating the book launch of Looking Up: One Person’s Journey to Recovery after Life with an Alcoholic (due out in the fall of 2009), Skunkworks has helped author, Susan Greene create a blog and support site for people who have or had an alcoholic (or addict of any kind) in their lives.
The title, Looking Up, expresses the promise of hope for those caught in the emotional chaos of life with an alcoholic. It also references the element of spirituality which was an important part of the author's own journey to recovery.
Those trying to cope and heal from the impact of a relationship with an addict need constant support. Susan Greene asked Skunkworks to help her create a platform where she could provide more frequent messages of understanding and support, and to serve as a forum for people to share their own stories. The result is www.lookingup.ca. We are honoured to have been chosen to help Susan spread her pragmatic and unique brand of hope and inspiration.

MEA Forensic Engineers and Scientists investigate a wide range of transportation, personal injury, product, property & premises, and aviation cases. As a recognized leader in its field, the company required a new, more sophisticated corporate identity that better aligned with its status as a high-profile professional services organization, international in scope, and comprised of technical experts with a broad range of subject expertise.
Skunkworks developed a new wordmark and a three-point icon – a stylized glyph that draws its inspiration from the mathematical “therefore” symbol (∴), and implicitly incorporates scientific themes of accuracy and problem solving, while retaining MEA’s longstanding tagline “Let the Evidence Speak.®”
One of the first communication pieces Skunkworks has produced for MEA Forensic is a brochure showcasing the company’s various practice groups. The document utilizes compelling large format imagery and a very clean, modern aesthetic to communicate MEA Forensic’s business focus and showcase the technical precision for which they are renowned.
